All about Honeybees

Honeybees live in large colonies, with one queen, thousands of female worker bees and a few hundred male drones in the summer. Each member of the colony has a job, from caring for the young to collecting food.

Worker bees collect nectar and pollen from flowers and bring it back to the hive. Some workers perform a waggle dance to show the other bees where the best flowers are. The nectar is turned into honey, which the colony stores for winter.
