All about Allergies

An allergy happens when your immune system overreacts to something that is normally harmless, such as pollen, peanuts, dust mites, pet hair or certain foods. Symptoms can include sneezing, itchy eyes, a rash, swelling or, in serious cases, trouble breathing.

If you have an allergy, tell an adult, your teacher and the people who look after you. Some children carry medicine prescribed by a doctor. Severe allergic reactions are an emergency, so call for help straight away.
