All about Healthy Eating

A balanced diet gives your body the nutrients it needs to grow, think and move. It includes plenty of fruit and vegetables, protein from foods like beans, eggs, fish or meat, wholegrain foods such as oats and brown rice, and some dairy or dairy alternatives for calcium.

Sweets, fizzy drinks and crisps are fine as occasional treats, but they should not fill most of your plate. Try to eat a variety of colours from fruit and vegetables, drink water and eat regular meals so you do not get too hungry.

๐ŸŽฎ Try it yourself!

Should I go on a diet?

Children should not diet without advice. Growing bodies need enough food, so talk to a doctor or dietitian if you have concerns about your weight.
